Visitors to the Barego will have the privilege of staying in a newly restored 17th century house originally built for the parish priest of the small adjacent church of St. John the Baptist. The old charm of the three storey house has been perfectly preserved as have the thick stone walls which regale cool summers to its inhabitants.
Guests are welcome to relax in the characteristic ligurian garden which is such an original intrinsic feature of the house.
The ancient cellars are now home to the Ceramics workshop of the Lady of the house. Many of Caterina’s creations may be found in the house itself; hers are the tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, the vases, lamps, plates, cups and kitchen wares used to serve breakfast.
